Password Generator

Generate secure passwords with options to adjust length and character set.

About

Use this tool to generate a secure and random set of passwords. You can specify the password length and character set. For maximum security, we recommend including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols while generating passwords labeled as 'Strong.'

You can also print the generated passwords directly by clicking 'File' and selecting 'Print.' To download a copy to your computer, choose 'Save as.'

Password Strength Indicator

Generated passwords are accompanied by strength indicators to help you gauge their robustness. They can be categorized as Strong (green), Good (orange), or Weak (red).

What Constitutes a Strong Password?

Complexity is key. A strong password should be a minimum of 8 characters long, containing at least one letter (uppercase or lowercase), one number, and one special character chosen from the following: `~!@#$%^&*()_-+={}[]\|:;"'<>,.?/
It should also avoid repetitive characters.

Generate random passwords with chosen length and character groups. Create a different password for each account and store it in a password manager.

How to use

Choose a length and enable at least one character group. Generate five candidates and select one that meets the site's rules. Generation runs in your browser.

Example

Choose a long password with letters and digits for a service that rejects symbols. Do not copy a sample password from documentation.

FAQ

Does the strength label measure security fully?

No. It checks character groups only. Length, random choice, reuse, and the service's security all matter. A selected group is allowed, not guaranteed in each result.

A practical task

Set the site's actual length and character rules before generating. Enabling a group permits its characters but does not force at least one into every result. Check the chosen candidate against the receiving form without storing it in an ordinary shared document.

Another useful question

Does a preset certify network security?

No. Presets are convenience settings, not a recommendation for an old wireless protocol. Follow the current router and service requirements instead of treating a label as certification.

Details for interpreting the result

Detail Explanation
Randomness and secrets A secret needs enough unpredictable possibilities, not just unusual looking characters. A small sample vocabulary or a decorative identifier is not a substitute for a dedicated password or passphrase generator.
Cryptographic random source A cryptographic random source is intended for unpredictable sampling. It does not certify a selection process, prove that entrants were eligible, or create an audit trail for a contest or regulated drawing.
